Alice Richard, 102, of Memramcook, passed away on Sunday May
20, 2024 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in St-Rita’s
maternity Hospital, Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Manuel
and Agnès (LeBlanc) Richard.
Alice’s early years were spent living in Moncton
prior to her family moving to Memramcook in 1932. She worked for
numerous years in Waltham and Toronto.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and
is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her step-mother,
Almaise; three sisters: Rita Dennis, Geraldine Gaudet, and Lorraine
Wedge; three brothers: Vaughan, Emery, and Arthur; and her favourite
special aunt, Sophie Richard (1993).
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation.
The funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday June 5 at Frenette
Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900)
at 11 am Interment will be at Frenette Columbarium in Moncton. In
memory of Alice, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation
(oncology) would be appreciated.
