Alexandra Mary Bako, 84, of Dieppe, passed away peacefully on
Tuesday October 8, 2024 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in
Winnipeg, MB, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Justine
(Wasylyshyn) Rogowski.
Alexandra will be sadly missed by her loving son, Ernest, two
grandchildren, and by several nieces, nephews, and
friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four
siblings: Ilene, Allan, Maureen, and Morley.
Alexandra attended St. Mary’s Academy at University
of Manitoba. She was the owner of Alicia’s Boutique in
Winnipeg, a costume designer at CBC Montréal and an
executive travel consultant in Toronto. Throughout her life, she
enjoyed weekend painting, sports and was a welcome conversationalist.
Her experience as a travel consultant took her worldwide. Alex loved
animals and her close companions for 15 years was her beloved
greyhound Csilag and cat Lucy. Alexandra retired in Moncton where she
was a member of the Lions Club, Red Hatters and Ukrainian Club of
Moncton.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Interment
will be at All Saints cemetery in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In memory of
Alexandra, a contribution to the Winnipeg SPCA would be appreciated.
