Roger Lee Sherrard, of Miramichi, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at the age of 70.
Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late Omar and Dawna (Harris) Sherrard. He retired as a Paper Coater Operator from Repap Mill.
A lover of NASCAR, he enjoyed watching the race every Sunday. He loved to cook & looked forward to sharing a good meal with his family, especially turkey dinners. He was adventurous & loved going on long drives to explore new places. He had a special place in his heart for animals & was a friend to all.
He will be greatly missed by his spouse Mary Reynolds of Miramichi; daughter Katie Sherrard of Moncton and stepdaughter Kyla Reynolds of Miramichi; three sisters Gail Colosimo (Paul) of Moncton, Lynne Murphy (Kevin) of Wayerton, and Sally Estey (George) of Exmoor; two brothers Paul Sherrard (Susan) and Kevin Sherrard both of Boom Road; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Ian Sherrard and nephew Liam Colosimo.
At the family’s request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will take place at Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 2 pm, with Rev. Charlene Maguire McKnight officiating.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Miramichi SPCA, or to a memorial of one’s choice.
