Marie Paulette Rolande (Hebert) Duguay, wife of the late Joseph “TiPitt” Duguay, of Route 118 South Nelson, NB, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on May 16, 2024, at the age of 77.
Born in Tracadie, NB, on November 12, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Lionel and Margaret (Gauvreau) Hebert.
She is survived by her daughter Michelle Saunders and son Tony (Cathy) Duguay both of South Nelson; six sisters Irene Savard of Lower Derby, Jackie Doucet (Ernie) of Harper Road, Mariette Girouard (Roger) of Miramichi, Pasty Bushey (John) of South Nelson, Carmella Jardine (Peter) of Warwick Road, and Pauline Gallant (Leonard) of South Nelson; three brothers Rheal (Pearl) of Greenwich, NS, Maurice (Marie-Anne) of South Nelson and Julien (Barbara) of Warwick Road; three grandchildren Michael, Nicole, and Kyle; four great grandchildren Hunter, Kylie, Ryker, and Abel.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sons Gary and Wally; two sisters Claudia Girouard and Elizabeth Jardine; and five brothers David, Lionel, John, Edmond, and Noel.
She enjoyed playing cards, quilting, her walks outdoors, and especially spending time with family. She had a curious mind and always wanted to know how things worked and why!
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant St, on Monday, May 20, 2024, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 11 am, at St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, with Father Anthony Das Papu officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
