Margery Wishart

Margery (Anderson) Wishart, of Tabusintac, passed away peacefully at the Tracadie Hospital, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the age of 98.
Born in Burnt Church, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Maud (Simpson) Anderson. Margery served in the army, loved travelling, and was a proud member of the St. Andrew’s United Church and choir; but above all Margery was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She was always there to offer a listening ear, a warm hug, and an encouraging smile.
She will be greatly missed by her sons Charlie Wishart (Jocelyn) and Gordie Wishart both of Tabusintac; sister Elizabeth Shaffelburg (Robert) of Halifax, NS; grandchildren Samantha Wishart and Matthew Drysdelle; great grandson Alex; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Lorne Wishart; and sisters Marion Skillen (Late Norman) and Lois McKenzie (Late Elmer).
The family will receive relatives and friends from St Andrew’s United Church, in Tabusintac, on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 12 pm to 1:30 pm. The funeral service will take place at 2 pm, with Rev. Jean Herman officiating. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Tabusintac.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St Andrew’s United Church.
