Lawrence Woodman Sr, 88, beloved husband of Eileen, passed away Sunday, September 1st, at his home in South Esk, NB.
Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Gordon and Doris (Haley) Woodman. Lawrence “Woody” joined the RCAF in 1955, stationed at bases in Quebec, Ontario, PEI, NB as well as in England and France. A daughter Sherry Rake, of Ottawa, ON., was born in Nottingham, England and a son Lawrence Jr. (Cathy), of South Esk, born in France. The family travelled to eleven countries while overseas. After Woody’s military career, he worked at CFB Chatham as a public servant.
Lawrence Sr. is survived by two brothers Richard (Okotoks, AB), Norman (Toronto), half-brother George (Moncton) and half-sisters Gale (Moncton) and Audrey (Saint John). He was predeceased by brothers Gordon Jr., Donald and half-sister Marjorie.
Lawrence and Eileen were blessed with six grandchildren, Jeremy of Kingston ON, Jason (Amanda) of Moncton, Lance (Gillian) of Miramichi, Kari (Devin) MacTavish of South Esk, Sarah (Robert) of Stittsville, ON, and Thomas of Ottawa, ON. More blessings with eleven great grandchildren, Brady, Brigitte, Sage, Gwen, Harrison, Ellie, Lucas, Russell, Ledger, Milah and Hadrian.
Lawrence chose not to have a funeral service, instead a family gathering will be held in his honor.
