Gerard Joseph Brideau, of Miramichi, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 75.
Born in Lower Neguac, he was the son of the late Romain and Charlotte (Maillet) Brideau. He worked at Anderson’s Mill prior to his retirement, and was a member of St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.
He will be greatly missed by his sisters Muriel Sauntry, Julia Harris, and Jeannine Brideau; brothers Roy Brideau, Arestide Brideau, and Romain (Jr.) Brideau; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Anne-Marie Brideau and Loretta Dutcher.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside burial will take place in St Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, at a date and time to be announced.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
