In Loving Memory of Eva Foley
1943 – 2024
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eva Foley (nee Graham) on February 24th, 2024, in Miramichi, New Brunswick.
Eva was born to John and Annie (Cook) Graham. She is predeceased by her husband, Bill (2011); son-in-law, Ric Chessman (2022); her parents; and ten siblings.
She leaves behind her children: Maureen Chessman, Kathy Veneman, and Bill Foley (Bonnie); and her grandchildren: Jane, Emily (Mo), Shannon (Cooper), Maggie, and Abbey.
She is survived by her sister, Mabel Armour (Dave); sisters-in-law: Beth Foley, Patty (Frank) Fitzgerald, Judy Graham; and brother-in-law, Tom (Pat) Foley. She will be missed greatly by her lifelong friend, Ellen McIntyre.
Eva met her husband Bill in Miramichi. She briefly taught high school in Loggieville before moving to Toronto in 1963.
Eva was a loving and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother, and a caring neighbour and friend. She was never late for anything
The family would like to thank the support of the staff at Miramichi Regional Hospital, and the compassion of Eva’s closest friend Ellen during this time.
As per Eva’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. The family will hold a memorial at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Diabetes Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
