Guy LeBlanc Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Guy Leblanc, affectionately known as “Wizzard,” on September 11th, 2024. Guy was the beloved husband of Micheline, devoted father to Karine Legere (husband Justin), and proud grandfather to Elise, Liam, and Loïc.
Guy, son of the late Anise and Jude Leblanc, was a respected businessman who founded Wizzard Overhead Doors. His dedication and expertise earned him admiration in the industry. The nickname “Wizzard” originated from one of his first jobs, where his boss was so impressed with his ability to figure out and fix just about anything that he began calling him a “Wizzard.” This nickname perfectly captured Guy’s remarkable problem-solving skills and ingenuity.
Beyond his professional success, Guy was known for his generous spirit and his love for conversation. Once he started talking, he wouldn’t stop, delighting everyone with his engaging stories and infectious enthusiasm. His stories, filled with wisdom and humour, will be greatly missed. Despite his battle with cancer over the past five years, Guy never let his illness define him. He embraced life with remarkable enthusiasm, travelling to Disney with his friends and family, riding a helicopter, visiting Montreal several times to watch the Canadiens, and never missing a chance to cheer on his grandchildren at the arena.
Guy also had a passion for carpentry and spent much of his time at his camp, always working on a new project. His motto was always “one day at a time,” and he lived each day to its fullest.
He will be deeply missed by his sisters Odette (Gerard) Cormier, Joline (Claude) Cormier, and Phyllis (Robert) Cormier, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to Dr. Ojah for the exceptional care and support throughout the years; no other doctor compares.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcok on Friday September 13 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. Funeral mass will be held at Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman catholic Church, Memramcook East on Saturday September 14 at 11:00 am. Arrangement are in care of Dupuis Funeral home.
