Claire Boudreau Obituary
It is with a broken heart that I left my dear loved ones, on 17 September 2024, but also with tears of joy to be reunited with those that I love who left before me, of course my parents; My Dad (Gérald à Philippe) who left us in May 2014 and Mom (Marie-Ange à Vital) who left us in November 2019, as well as my sister-in-law, Sandra, who left us in January 2021.
I was never alone in my journey and I thank those who were by my side, especially Raoul, Isabelle and Monette, who accompanied me, supported me and loved me unconditionally my entire life, and who remained there, beside me, until the end. I will forever be grateful.
I was born on 21 August 1958, the first of four children of Gérald and Marie-Ange (née Richard) from La Hêtrière in Memramcook. My dear little brothers and their families are: Richard (Lyne) of Dieppe and his children, Danielle (Sam) and their children Hugo and Archie of Moncton; Stéphane (Amy) of Riverview and Alexandre (Isa) of Dieppe; Raoul (Geneviève) of Memramcook/Dieppe and his daughter, Isabelle (Ryder) of Memramcook/Syracuse NY; and Serge (Mike) of Fredericton; as well as a cousin who I considered to be a sister, Monette (Ron) and their children, Véronique (Marc-André) and Samuel (Emily), both of Moncton. I also have several uncles and aunts and cousins that I cherish.
I am a proud alumni of l’Université de Moncton and l’Université d’Ottawa, where I obtained my degree in Criminology. I am a Government of Canada retiree since 2013 with over 35 years of service, with the majority of my career working between the Parole Board of Canada (Victim Services) and Correctional Services Canada (Parole Officer).
I want to immensely thank those who saved my life, on several occasions, those who extended my life, those who cared for me, those who listened, who encouraged me and those on whom I could lean on, and those who were always honest with me, and who treated me with dignity and respect; notably, Dr Jacques Maillet, Dr Pierre Whitlock, Dr Terrance Comeau, Josh Smith, Dr Ginette Sika, Pierrette Richard, and the angels/nurses at the Oncology Clinic of the Dumont University Hospital Centre (Joanie, Chantal, Cathy, Katie, Bernice and Louise).
Live a full life and live with no regrets.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Tuesday September 24 from 6 to 9 pm only. Funeral mass will be held at the St-Thomas de Memramcook Roman Catholic Church, St-Joseph on Wednesday September 25 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
