It is with great sadness that we announce the
passing of Diane Ruth Adams of
Gordonsville, who left us on
Saturday, November 2, 2024. Diane was a cherished wife, mother,
grandmother, and
friend, known for her loving spirit, deep faith, and passion for
life.
Born
in Bannon on
September 19, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Maynard and
Phyllis Belyea.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Samuel
Lewis; son-in-law,Dan Rodgerson; and
brother-in-law, Ivan Adams.
Diane is survived by her beloved husband of 64
years, Lloyd Adams, and her children, Valerie
Lewis, Mitchell
Adams (Kelly), Marliee Rodgerson, Tanya Lawrence (Larry), Twyla Adams,
Beth Thomas
(Barry); grandchildren, Jordan Lewis (Coralee), Vashti Lewis (Neil
White), Deidre
Lean (Jay),
Stuart Adams (Raquel), Devern Adams (Tanya), Stephanie Adams, Carissa
Rodgerson, Josiah
Rodgerson, Shiloh Rodgerson, Meghan Violette (Jordan), Jenna
Jones (Tristan), Lorne Thomas,
Jack Thomas;
great grandchildren, Adelaide Lewis, Norah Lewis, Cecelia Lewis, Rory
White,
Kaitlyn Lean,
Benjamin Lean, Isaac Adams, Keira Adams, Tanner Jones, Thalia Jones;
sister,
Judith Saunders (Michael);
brother, Larry Belyea (Anne); brothers-in-law, Dale Adams (Linda),
Averil
Adams (Luann);
sister-in-law, Marilyn Adams; and many nieces and nephews, who will
carry her legacy of
love and
kindness forward.
Diane was a
strong Godly woman with a kind
heart, whose faith guided her every action. She was
a devoted
member of her church and community, an inspiration to many, always
ready to offer a helping
hand or a
word of encouragement.
Diane had a gift for creating beauty
in all she touched. She loved quilting, pouring her heart
into each
stitch, and sharing her handmade creations with family and friends.
Her gardens
were filled
with vibrant flowers, reflecting her nurturing nature and brightening
the lives of those
around her. Diane was
a remarkable cook, known for her delicious meals that
brought the
family together. Whether
it was a holiday feast or a simple gathering, her kitchen was a place
of
warmth, laughter,
and love. She also found joy in bird watching, often taking quiet
moments to
connect with
nature and marvel at God’s
beautiful creations.
Diane taught for several years before becoming a
full-time homemaker in 1965, nurturing her family and supporting her
husband, Lloyd’s entrepreneurial
ventures.
Diane Ruth Adams will be deeply missed, but her
spirit and the love she shared will
forever remain in the hearts of all
who knew her.
The family would like to express heartfelt
gratitude to all the special angels who made it
possible for
Diane to remain in her home. You know who you are, and your support
made a world
of difference.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 8th,
2024, at Trinity Wesleyan Church, 7 Kirk
Street, Florenceville – Bristol,
from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at the church
on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev.
Joel Bridges officiating. The interment will follow in
the Gordonsville Cemetery. If so
desired, donations can be made to the River Valley
Cancer Support Group Inc. or Trinity
Wesleyan Church Send a Kid to Camp Fund, honoring
Diane’s commitment to helping
others.
