Obituary of Stacie Lee Thorne
It is with great sadness that the family of Stacie Lee Thorne announce her unexpected passing on March 21, 2024, at the age of 40.
Stacie was born in Fredericton on May 8, 1983, to Sue Parr and Rodney Thorne.
In addition to her parents, she will be deeply missed by her partner, Chris Phillips; sons, Jacob (Shelby Doucette) Phillips, Jaron (Darian) Phillips, Jordan Phillips, Jaxon Phillips, and Everend Sullivan; grandchildren, Anthony, Jackie, Kase, and Adalena who is due to arrive in a few weeks; siblings, Rebecca (Francis) Darsigny; niece, Emily; nephew, Dylan; brother, Adam Thorne; step-father, Allan Arseneault; cousins, Matthew (Jennifer) Parr, Vicki (Allan) Parr, her extended family, as well as her good friends Ian Ross and Sarah Shannon Munn. She is also survived by Chris’s family, Donna Brewer, Norman Phillips, and Sabrina (Ryan Brewer) Phillips.
She is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, June and James Parr; uncles, Douglas and Ronald Parr, and her paternal grandmother, Betty Thorne.
Stacie’s sons and grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she would beam when talking about how proud she was of all of them.
A visitation will take place at McAdam’s Funeral Home on Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 11:00am-1:00pm, followed by a funeral service in the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel, beginning at 1:00pm. Interment will be at Douglas Rural Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Fredericton SPCA, Capital Region Mental Health and Addictions Inc., River Stone Recovery Center, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
