The passing of William “Sonny” Arthur Peterson of Cardigan, NB, husband of the late Muriel (Corrier) Peterson, occurred on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 16, 1944 in Upper Blackville, NB, he was a son of the late Perley and Arlene Peterson.
Sonny is survived by his sons, Mike Peterson (Gail) and Audie Peterson (Sandra); grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jordan), Ashley (Greg), A.J. (Maryanne), Anthony (Nancy), Amber (Lucas) and Ally (Jaron); nine great grandchildren; siblings, Sheldon Peterson, Dianne Mowers (Ken), Gilbert Peterson, Eric Peterson (Benji), Lisa Mills and Phillip Peterson (Olly); and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife and parents, Sonny was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa Peterson; and siblings, Lynn Peterson and Marshall Peterson.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 2-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
