With loving family by her side, the passing of Shirley Elizabeth Moore (Giberson), wife of Arnold Wayne Moore of Fredericton, occurred on Friday, February 2, 2024 at the Dr Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Holmesville, NB on April 27, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Berton and Beulah Giberson (Kinney). Shirley was always involved with the church everywhere she lived. She loved music and sang in the choir and did solos. She loved her family and was always a caregiver to us and our extended family. She cared for her husband’s grandfather, his parents and her aunt.
After she was married in 1959 moved to Massachusetts having her three children. She worked at various jobs while living in the states. In 1972 she moved back to her original homestead and they took over her family’s farm in Holmesville, NB. They retired and moved to Fredericton in 1994, during that time she cared for her husband’s parents until they passed. They travelled to Alberta many times to their son Stephen where they both worked supporting his initial business start up.
Mom and Dad enjoyed travelling including a trip to California in 1978 the year Dad worked in Alberta. In retirement they enjoyed travelling and did a few bus trips to the States and also spent time in Florida and Arizona.
In addition to her loving husband of 65 years, Shirley is survived by her children, Stephen (Sharon) Moore, Dana (Tina) Moore and Pamela (Peter) Gaunce; grandchildren, Blair Moore, Tyler Moore, Jeremy Moore, Emily Brien, Logan Gaunce; great grandchildren, Madasyn Moore, Corbin Moore, Chloe Moore, George Moore, Russell Moore and Charlotte Brien.
