RIDGLEY, Samuel Joshua “Sam”
a cherished Son of Little Bay West, Fortune Bay, Newfoundland.
It is with heavy hearts that we
announce the sudden passing of Sam at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in
Fredericton, New Brunswick at the age of
86.
Beloved husband of almost 47 years to
Fay Ridgley (nee Lewis). Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews who
always provided him with joy. Ever remembered and loved by his
remaining sister Beryl. Predeceased by his parents Sam and Amelia
Ridgley, and siblings Elsie, Meta, Sid, Hilda Mary, Reg, Samuel John,
Cora, Roy, and Calvin. And, a fond farewell to neighbours and
friends.
It is true, a Newfoundlander is always
a Newfoundlander, he represented the province, and the Maritimes very
well. We will never forget his calmness, his kindness, and his decency
as a person. Nor will we ever forget his love for family, neighbours,
and friends.
