The passing of Milton Franklin McKeil, husband of Dolores (Munn) McKeil of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 4, 1936 in Holtville , NB , he was the son of the late Frank and Udavilla (Munn) McKeil. Milton spent many years working in the woods at various jobs before managing the warehouse for Building Services. He enjoyed time spent at the camp as well as playing washer toss, horseshoes, bowling, softball, hunting, fishing and playing cards (but only when he was winning).
In addition to his loving wife, Milton is survived by his children, Jeff McKeil, Letha Brown (Art), Kellie McKeil and Stacie Bowdridge (Michael); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, June Hare and Geraldine Munn; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Verna, Marguerite and Esther; brothers, Sterling , Clarence and Clayton.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 1-2 pm and will be followed directly by a Memorial Service in York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel at 2 pm with refreshments to follow. Interment will take place in Cameron Hill Cemetery, Holtville at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Alzheimer Society, Diabetes Association or donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
