It is with heavy
hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Field (nee Morehouse)
of Fredericton, NB on June 23, 2024. Born September 2, 1933,
Margaret was the daughter of the late Frank and Eunice Morehouse of
Doaktown, NB.
Margaret is
survived by her loving and doting husband of 67 years, William (Bill)
Field. She is also survived by her four daughters, Jocelyn
(Bill) Manzer, Brenda Stennick, Beverly (Peter) Fenety and Jennifer
(Mark) Robinson, her four grandchildren, Virginia (Mark) Barbour,
Garrett (Nicole) Manzer, Kendra Fenety and Lauren Stennick.
She is also survived by her sister Dolores Jones her sisters-in-law
Marilyn Hutchinson and Valerie Doucett and many nieces and
nephews.
She is predeceased
by her brothers Donnie, Daryl and Perley Morehouse, sisters, Isabelle
Hovey and Doreen Pond and son-in-law Peter
Stennick.
Margaret grew up in
Doaktown, NB and worked in the family restaurant called the
“Green Lantern”. She later moved to Moncton, where
she met the love of her life Bill. Margaret was a wonderful
mother and grandmother offering support, wisdom and an abundance of
love. She had a great sense of humor and always had a
Doaktown antidote for every occasion. Margaret took pride in
being a homemaker and raising her family. Her cookie tins
were always full. Family and friends have fond memories of Saturday
night suppers with fresh baked bread and homemade beans.
Marg loved to travel and especially enjoyed the many trips with Bill
down south with Chrysler and throughout the US and Canada with their
Knights of Pythias friends.
The family is ever
grateful for the care provided to her by the Doctors and Nurses on 4NE
and Palliative Care units at the Doctor Everett Chalmers
Hospital.
Visitation will
take place Wednesday, June 26th at
Bishop’s Funeral Home & Crematorium 540 Woodstock
Road from 6:00-8:00pm. A funeral service will take place on Thursday,
June 27th at 2:00pm at the funeral home.
For those who wish
to make a memorial donation in Margaret’s memory, the family
have suggested a charity of the donor’s choice.
