Lucille Jane Arbo passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 in Fredericton . Born in Saint John , NB., she is the daughter of the late Murray MacLaren and Alberta (Doull) Roberts and loving wife of the late Rev. Harold Arbo. She will be dearly missed by her two children, Jennifer Sherwood (Brian) and Mark Arbo (Yoko), her beloved grandchildren, Jacob (Eliza), Kayla, Alyssa, and Mae, who lovingly called her Nana (because she was worried ‘grandma’ would make her sound old) and her great grandchild, baby Andersen. In addition to her parents and husband Harold, Lucille was predeceased by her brother William (Bill) Roberts.
Once a beloved high school teacher, Lucille stepped away from a successful career to devote her life to her children and being a pastor’s wife. She faithfully fulfilled these duties with determination, a sharp wit and so much love. Lucille was a skilled piano and organ player, a terrific Christmas enthusiast and a warm host to anyone who happened to pop in.
Lucille never wanted to be the center of attention, and at her request, there will be no visitation. A time of remembrance for immediate family members will take place at a later date. Her committal will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Saint John , N.B.
On behalf of Lucille, her family would like to extend their most heartfelt thanks to the staff of York Care Centre for providing her with such kind and constant care throughout the years.
