With heavy hearts the family of Kelly Lee Watts announce his
passing on May 12, 2024. Kelly was born in Fredericton, NB on
September 14, 1965, to Sheldon and the late Marlene
Watts.
Kelly leaves behind his wife and soulmate, Gail, Father
Sheldon, brothers Bill and Terry (Teri), brother-in-law Brad Crawford
(Tabi), mother-in law Arleen Crawford, nieces and nephews Shane Watts
(Kyana Hicks), Erin Moss (Kirk), Spencer Watts (Emily), Kaitlyn
Crawford (Matt), Jack Crawford, great-nieces Charlotte and Sophie,
many close relatives and friends, and his animals.
Kelly worked for the City of Fredericton in the rinks and
pools for many years. He grew up in the harness racing
industry and loved travelling to the Maritimes to compete or watch
racing, never missing a Gold Cup and Saucer race in PEI. He loved
sports and played hockey and golf for many years. He also enjoyed
spending time at the cottage with his wife and friends in the summers.
Everyone who knew him knows how much he loved life and socializing
with family and friends, and he will be sadly missed and never
forgotten by all.
Many thanks to the kind and caring staff in the Oncology and
Palliative Care units at DECH, and his many friends and relatives who
provided comfort and support during his illness.
Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home
& Crematorium 540 Woodstock Road on Monday, May 20, 2024, from
1-3 pm. A memorial service will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the DECH Oncology Unit would
