The passing of Josephine Flora Billings, wife of the late Theodore Billings of Fredericton , NB , occurred on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Hospice House Fredericton. Born on May 3, 1927 in Burtt’s Corner, NB, she was the daughter of the late James and Mattie (Haines) Jewett. Josephine worked as a secretary for York County Properties and later at York Manor before retiring. She was very crafty and loved to sew.
Josephine is survived by son, Larry Billings (Linda); grandchildren, Michael Naugle (Nathalie), Barry Naugle (Shelly), Jamey Billings, Tanya Billings; great-grandchildren, Emilie, Benjamin, Makayla, Shelby, Tayler and Leah.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Charlene Naugle and son-in-law Wayne Naugle.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of York Funeral Home. At Josephine’s request, there will be no public services. A Private Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery , Fredericton at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Hospice Fredericton.
