With much sadness, the family of
Joseph Nelson Sabattis announce his sudden passing at his home in
Kingsclear First Nation on April 18, 2024.
Joseph was born in Fredericton
NB on August 1st, 1965, to his parents, the
late Frederick and Angela (Denny)
Sabattis.
He is survived by his sister
Stephanie Sabattis; brothers, Brian (Mary), Alan, Danny, Timothy
(Laurie), Fred (Helen); 12 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and
nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, as well as many
godchildren.
In addition to his parents, he
was predeceased by a brother, Christopher
Sabattis.
Joseph was employed for 30 years
with the Kingsclear First Nation, where over the years he held the
positions of Band Membership, Land Management and EMO Director. He
enjoyed staying busy and volunteered with many different organizations
including the Volunteer Fire Department, Police Auxiliary, and the
Kinsmen Club. He was also an avid bingo
player.
Visitations will be held at the
Kingsclear Training Center, 497 Chapel Road Kingsclear 1st Nation on
Monday April 22 and Tuesday April 23, 2024. A Funeral Mass will be
held on Wednesday April 24th at 11am with
Father Bill Brennan officiating.
Bishops Funeral Home,
540 Woodstock Road, (506-458-1885), have been entrusted with the
arrangements.
