Obituary of Evelyn Louise Vann
Evelyn Louise (Wade) Vann died peacefully at Windsor Court, Fredericton, New Brunswick on March 27, 2024. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Lillian (MacPherson) Wade.
Evelyn grew up in Winnipeg where she met and married Jack Vann. They relocated to Burton, where she lived for most of her life, though the cottage on Maquapit Lakewas her favourite place to be.
She is survived by her children, Gordon Vann (Muriel), Sandra Hall (Doug), Brenda Tufford (Terry), and Marilyn DesLaurier (Tony); grandchildren, Judy Carr, Sandra Vann, Beverly Adams, Kyle Vann, Doug and John Hall, Brittany and Dylan Tufford, and Darby Deslaurier; great grandchildren, Paige and Mallorie Phillps, Oakly and Waylon Carr, Gavin Palmer, Susannah, Matthew and Jack Adams, Liz Inuarak, Autumn Hall, and Garnet Carr; great great grandchild, Luella Moulton, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, John “Jack” Vann, sister, Margaret, and brothers, Tom and Frank.
A memorial service will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at the Burton Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in Evelyn’s name would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Windsor court, and to Dr. Reid who was so helpful to us when we needed him the most.
