Obituary of Elizabeth Alfreda Pye
It is with heavy hearts and sadness that the family of Elizabeth “Betty” Afreda (Madore) Pye announce her passing on April 25, 2024 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 27, 1938 in Newcastle Bridge, NB, she was a daughter of the late William and Mable (Rowe) Madore.
Surviving are her children, Gloria (Art), Mary Anne (Hans), Colin, Wanda, Wayne (Janet), Bill (Natalie), Chuck (Laura); sisters, Mavis, Harriette (Bob), Belinda (David) and Tammy (Randy); grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Terry; siblings, Eugene, Douglas, Mary, Rose and Alfred.
The family would like to say thank-you to Dr. Ross Kenney and the staff at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital for all the wonderful care Betty had received.
A gathering family and friends will take place at McAdam’s Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton, on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 2-4 p.m.
For those who wish, memorial donations to The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
