Obituary of Doris Mae Wilson
Doris Mae Wilson, 76, of Oromocto, New Brunswick, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023 at the Hospice House, Fredericton, NB.
She was born in Kentville, NS on August 3, 1947, the eldest daughter of Francis and the late Mildred Leblanc. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, David Wilson (June 1999) and her mother, Mildred (Beach) Leblanc (July 2023).
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Kimberley Moffitt (Wes); her three grandchildren, Lacey, Kayley (Jared) and Jacob; her three great grand-children, Hunter, Lainey and Wyler; her brothers, Terry (Linda), Reggie (Cathy) and Bobby (Karen); her sisters Anne Dickie (Carl) and Sherry Ryan; many nieces, nephews and many friends from Coast to Coast.
Doris left this world far too soon, leaving a void that can never be filled. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion and unforgettable memories. She will be remembered for her loving, caring and nurturing personality.
The family would like to thank her sister-in-law, Diane Wilson, for the wonderful love and care while Doris was at home. They also want to thank her Extramural nurse, Vianne Hurley, Resp, Kristy Lannigan, and her dietitian, Valerie Fergusion. A special thank you to Hospice House Fredericton for the exceptional care and compassion Doris received during her short stay.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 12th, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago Street, Oromocto, NB, with Archdeacon John Sharp officiating. Interment will take place in the Burton Cemetery, Burton, NB after the service. A reception will follow at the R.C. Legion #93, Restigouche Rd., Oromocto, NB, at 4:00 – 6:00 pm.
