It is with heavy hearts but with great peace the family of David True Currie announce his passing on January 18th, 2024 after a short battle with Cancer.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Marg, daughter Karen (Tony) Albert, step-daughter Sally (Craig) Conohan, step-son John (Erin) Fullerton; grandchildren Jeremy (Rachel), Ashlyn (Peter Morrison), and Wade Albert. He is also survived by his brother Paul ( Florence ), 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
David was predeceased by his parents Otis and Betty, and his beloved son Jeff. He was also predeceased by his bother Phillip, sister-in-law Marlene, his sister Doris Burtt and his dear Aunt DoDo.
Born on September 28th, 1940 in Woodstock , N.B., David was employed as a printer with The Daily Gleaner for 43 years. Dave loved being surrounded by family and friends, whether it be out on snowmobiles, relaxing at the “Little Camp” on the Dungarvon, or cheering on his grandchildren at their various sporting events. Above all, Dave enjoyed cooking up a feast and was a chef extraordinaire.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday January 21, 2024 from 2-4 at York Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the exceptional staff at Hospice Fredericton, Extra-Mural, and Dr. Frances MacDougall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Fredericton (Palliative Care Resource Network Inc.). Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com.
