They were married for nearly 57 years (m. July 29, 1967) and were the parents of Susan (Davidson Myers) of Ottawa, Andrew (Shelley) of South Winsloe, PE, and Alan of Fredericton. David was the Grampie of Liam and Erin Myers, Ottawa, and Tonia (Kenzie MacPherson), PE, and great grandfather of Reese and Duncan MacPherson, PE. Also remembered by sisters-in-law, Carole Peacock and Debbie (Bob Seymour), both of Fredericton; nieces, nephews and cousins.

David grew up in Newcastle Creek and received his early education at schools in Minto. He continued his studies while working at NB Power and received his Master’s degree in 1971. Taking an early retirement, he later set up his own consulting business with clients in Canada and the Eastern US.
David was a member of St. Paul’s United Church where he served as Elder, a Trustee and Sunday School superintendent. He sang in the choir and was a member of many committees over the years. He also supported and was a Board member of several community organizations most notably the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation.
David enjoyed travel, checking out antique cars as well as the newest models, and was always open to offers of a single malt.
A joint memorial service will be held for Judy and David at a later date this summer. Details will be announced.
For those who wish to make memorial donations the family suggests Diabetes Canada, the Stan Cassidy Foundation or donor’s choice.
