Cloney, Burton Thomas of Nashwaak Village NB passed
away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on October
22nd, 2023. Burton was born in Brockway NB on
August 17th, 1942. He was the son of Eugene and
Rena (Purdy) Cloney, and the husband of the late Carol (Fisher)
Cloney.
Burton & Carol moved to Calgary in 1985 before
returning to NB, residing in Lakeville Corner, NB until
Carol’s passing in 2017. He then moved to Nashwaak Village
to reside with his daughter Tammy and son in law John
Ulsh.
Burton is survived by his children: Susan (Brian)
Allen, Robert (Nedia) Cloney, Tammy (John) Ulsh, Troy Cloney, Jill
(Bill Weaver) Cloney, Giphton (Amy Klotz) Gunn. Stepchildren: Dana
Fisher and Tammy Turner. Ten grandchildren, Ron (Laura Pierce) Allen,
David (Echo) Allen, Brianne (Alex) Martin, Michael Cloney, Amanda
Cloney, Kalin (Greg) MacDonald, Brendon (Courtney) Ulsh, Jake Cloney,
Josh (Ashley) Cloney, Jessica Cloney, Brandon Turner. Nine great-great
grandchildren, Malcom, Stevie and Wesley Allen, Lucy and Nora Martin,
Ledger and Oliver Ulsh, Matthew MacDonald, Riley Cloney-Narvey and
Aria Cloney.
He leaves behind brothers, Francis Cloney, William
Cloney, Bennett (Zita) Cloney, Jeff (Sandra) Cloney. Many nieces and
nephews, as well as great nieces & nephews. In addition to his
wife Carol and his parent Eugene and Rena Cloney, Burton was also
predeceased by his brother, Paul
Cloney.
A celebration of life will take place at Bishops
Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, on October 28h, 2023
from 1-3pm. Burial in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery will take place
at a later date.
For those who wish, memorial donations can be made to
a charity of the donor’s choice.
