It is with deep sadness that we
announce the passing of Annie May Moore, wife of the late Arnold
Moore, of Fredericton, NB, on July 9th, 2024,
at the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born March
26th, 1929 in Harcourt NB, She was the daughter
of the late Lester and Margaret (Spencer)
Dunlay.
At
the age of thirteen, she started working at the Grand Hotel on Queen
St. Fredericton, NB, where she held various jobs while working her way
up the ranks. During that time, she met her future husband
Whom she married in 1948.
Annie was a dedicated,
dependable employee for the University PressDaily Gleaner, then
was manager for “Fredericton Fuels LTD”. During this time
Annie and her husband bought and built different
propertiesrentals which she managed all at the same time
providing for her family. Annie was a remarkable business
woman with a grade six education. She enjoyed reading,
gardening and was a phenomenal baker and cook. Over the
years she attended the Reformed Baptist ChurchWesleyan, was a
choir member, also in later years went to Serenity Free will Baptist
Until Covid, then she worshiped at home following Dr Charles Stanley
program.
Annie is survived by her son
Phillip (Joyce Moore, granddaughter Sarah (Tysen) Gee and great
grandson Gage.
Besides her husband and parents,
Annie was predeceased by her sisters, Gertie Lawson, Pearl Sears, Obie
Dunlay, Jean Boyce and brothers Burt and Ralph
Dunlay.
Her family would like to thank
the staff of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Extra Mural and Dr
WoodChrista Chalmers Hospital care
provided.
Visitation will take place at
Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Rd, Fredericton, NB, on
Tuesday July 16th, 2024, from Noon until
2:30PM. A private family funeral service will be held at
3pm. Interment will take place in the Douglas Rural
Cemetery.
