Wayne Miller
1947-2024
Wayne Burton Miller of Florenceville passed away peacefully on
Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the Moncton City Hospital after a brief
illness. The son of the late Burton and Marion (Bassett) Miller, Wayne
was born August 3, 1947, in Shilo, Manitoba.
Wayne is survived by his sister, Terry Dickinson of Woodstock; nephew,
Peter Dickinson (Patricia Donnelly) and five great nieces, Julia,
Abbey, Clara, Willa and Bronwyn of New Maryland; and nephew, Michael
Dickinson of Ottawa.
He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Edward Dickinson.
For much of his life, Wayne was self-employed as an upholsterer in
Florenceville. Previous to that he was a member of the Canadian Armed
Forces and remained active as a commissioned Cadet Instructor with the
Royal Canadian Air Cadets for many years. Proud of his service, Wayne
was active with the Woodstock based, Unit #95 of Anavets.
Respecting Wayne’s wishes there will be no public visitation or
funeral services. The interment will be held at a later date at [name
of cemetery]. For those who wish, donations made to a charity of the
donor’s choice would be appreciated.
The family sincerely thanks the doctors, nurses, and staff of the
Moncton City Hospital for the compassion shown to Wayne while under
their care.
