Ernest H. Lloyd
1947-2024
It is with deep sadness, that the family of Ernest H. Lloyd, announce
his unexpected passing on October 2, 2024 at the Upper River Valley
Hospital, Waterville at the age of 77.
He was a father, stepfather, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
He was predeceased by his wife; Marie Shaw, parents; Annabelle and
Wendell, sisters; Gloria and Donna.
He leaves to mourn his son; Chad, along with his partner; Jamie Guest.
Four stepchildren; Karen, Allan, Melanie and Blake.
Ernest worked many jobs through the years, but finished his working
life at; McCain Foods, in Florenceville-Bristol. He cared for Marie
during her life-ending battle with cancer, for which his family was
eternally grateful! He was a man of steadfast character and
kindness.
He would arrive at your door with a thoughtful gift of bread, sweets,
flowers, or a bowl of soup. He loved to get out of the house and was
always up for a trip to Fredericton. Even a trip to his barber, bank,
or groceries brought him pleasure.
He excelled at growing plants, flowers, and bushes. He was blessed
with the proverbial; “green thumb.”
He loved his music nights and tried to attend as many as possible. His
had a great passion for dancing; in years past. That was one of the
things he and Marie loved to do.
He loved his many dogs and had more than a few in his life. They
brought him much joy.
He will be missed by so many and remembered fondly for his very
presence; in his family and friend’s lives.
A graveside service will be held at a later date, in the Larlee Creek
Cemetery.
