It is with great sadness that we announce the passing at home of Norman Gautreau, 91, of Dieppe, on December 26, 2024.
Norman was born on September 15, 1933, to the late Anastase and Albina Gautreau of Pré-d’en-Haut.
He worked at Ben’s (formerly Lane’s) Bakeries as a shipper for over 40 years. He loved watching old war movies and hockey (especially the Montreal Canadians). A man of deep faith, he never missed mass either in person or, in the last few months, on TV.
Norman is survived by his daughter Pamela, his son Claude and his sisters: Anita Auffrey and Eveline Leger.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son Francis, his wife Hectorine, and his brothers: Laurie, Alcide, Denis, Alban, Uldege and his sisters: Anna Auffrey and Elmire LeBlanc.
Thank you to Dr. Veronique LeBlanc who took wonderful care of our father.
Thank you also to Dan and the staff at 1755 who always looked out for him when he spent his afternoons enjoying his favorite beverages.
Visitation will be held from Passage – Chartersville, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (506) 857-1901, on Monday, December 30th, from 12 noon to 2:30 pm only. Funeral mass will be held from Ste-Therese-de-l’Enfant-Jesus RC Church in Dieppe, on Monday, December 30th, at 3 pm.
In Norman’s memory, a donation can be made to a memorial of choice.
The family invites you to sign a book of condolences at: www.funerairepassagefuneral.ca.
Arrangements under the professional care of Passage Funeral Cooperative and Cremation Center.
