With sadness in our hearts, the family of Lise Marie Lucie Kennedy announces her passing on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 70 years. Lise was born in Tracadie, NB on January 27, 1954 the daughter of the late Laurent and Francine (Savoie) Losier.
Lise is survived by her loving partner of 20 years, Gordon Davis; loving mother to Hazen (Krista) and April (Mike); step-mother to Angela (Jeffrey) Hay; siblings, Anne (Michel) Noel, Jean (Lea) Losier, Michelle (Julien) Paulin and Paul (Leonora); brothers-in-law, Randy (Janet) Davis, Alan (Sylvia) Kennedy, Barry (Lorna) Kennedy, Wayne (Donna) Kennedy and Donald (Susan) Kennedy; sisters-in-law, Marcy (Gerry) Malloy, Helen Kennedy and Coleen Kennedy; many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
Lise was predeceased by her first husband Hazen Kennedy Sr. and brother Real Losier.
Lise grew up in Haut-Lamèque on a hard working second generation potato farm where she met her husband Hazen while doing a job in Shippagan while she attended College, they then moved to Labrador city where they married and started a family. Later they moved to Quispamsis where she made some really good friends while working at a daycare.
After the death of her husband she then met her partner and best friend Gord and then eventually moved to Waterborough. She enjoyed many miles clinging on to Gord on the back of his Harley travelling all over New Brunswick and Eastern Canada. Lise had a great passion for cooking and we all know her homemade meals were second to none, especially with all the behind the scenes prep work that was involved.
Lise worked at the Mill Cove Nursing Home where she made many good friends. She seemed to make great friends with everyone she met in her life. Lise was loved by many and will be missed by everyone. She will never be forgotten.
A celebration of Lise’s life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at the W.I. Hall, Waterborough, NB from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Donations in her memory can be made to the Victoria’s Quilt Canada (www.victoriasquiltscanada.com (613)-843-9212) and are appreciated by her family.
