It is with very heavy hearts we announce the death of our loving brother Claude Hickey of Campbellton, who passed away on December 28, 2024 at Foyer Lilliane Ouellette Nursing Home.
Claude was the son of the late Charles and Opal (Godin) Hickey of Doyleville.
Claude is survived by his sisters; Elvira Godin of Lorne, Effie Salmon of Chalk River, Beatrice Hickey of Montreal, Joan Hickey (Ivan) of Lorne, Marilyn LaPointe of Lorne, Jeannie Carrier (Gabriel) of Lorne, Hilda Carrier (Randy) of Lorne. His brothers; Terry of Lorne, Brendon (Rhonda) of Gravel Hill, and Gordon of Lorne.
Claude is predeceased by his brothers; Clary, Victor, Herman, Earl, and Percy. Sisters; Connie and Muriel.
Claude had many nieces, nephews, brother in laws and sister in laws who thought the world of him and his love was felt by all.
Throughout the years, Claude worked for the DOT and was a teacher at different schools. In his finishing of teaching academic years he taught at CCNB. He went above and beyond for his students and anybody who knew Claude knew what a nice, kind, caring person he was. Claude had a heart of gold.
A special thank you is sent out to the staff and workers at Foyer Lilliane Ouellette Nursing Home in Campbellton for the caring and kindness they gave to Claude.
A Graveside service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are in the care of MacMillan & Drapeau Funeral Home, Black Point.
