It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Vida Mary Bear at the age of 59 on March 24,2024.
Vida was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Gloria Swain, grandparents John and Mary Bear, her stepparents Moses and Bertha Flett, her granddaughter Cynthia Mckay, the father of her 3 younger children Hugh Williams (Al), as well as the father of her eldest daughter David Liberty, her nephew Jake Bear, her nieces Tiffany & Reagan Bear, her two brother Jason & Jack Bear.
Vida leaves to mourn her passing, her four children daughters Melissa & Hannah, son’s Thomas and Emile her grandchildren Daniel, Keashia, Anna, Ian, Spencer, Able, Gage, Emile Jr(Odie), Haydence, Jaxtyn, Lennox, Jace & Elliott, Her sisters Margo, Germaine & Ruth, her brothers Kelly & Leslie as well as carmen whom she had been with for many years and raised her grandson’s with, her nieces, nephews, cousins & friends too many to mention.
Vida was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, auntie, cousin, niece & friend, Vida was born in Pine Falls Manitoba on December 14th/1964 to parents Jacob & Gloria Swain and was raised in Berens River Manitoba. Vida had later in life moved to Winnipeg Manitoba where she had met David and had her eldest daughter melissa, a few years later she had met Hugh and had her three younger children, she lived in Winnipeg for many years with her children until she decided to move back home and live the rest of her time there with family and friends.
Vida was the best, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren, she was the best friend and loved everyone she met along the way, she would help anybody when needed no matter what.
Wake service will be held on Thursday April 4,2024 from 7 p.m. till 11 p.m. at Eternal Grace Funerals. Wake service will continue Friday April 5,2024 at Melissa Bear residence Berens River. Funeral service will follow on Saturday April 6,2024 at 11 a.m. at the United Church Rev. Roy Bouchie officiating. Cremation to follow.
She will never be forgotten and will be deeply loved and missed by her family and friends.
