It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Tashialyn Teyannah Brass-McKay on June 7, 2024 at the young age of 23 years.
Tashialyn leaves behind to mourn her son Jayden, father Daren McKay, grandmother Vivian Brass as well as numerous brothers, sisters, aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her mother Sharron Brass, grandfathers George Brass and Alex Brass, her auntie June McKay and her cousin Darius McKay.
Tashialyn enjoyed spending time with family and followed the red road. Tash was a loving, caring and kind-hearted person. She spent her days with her siblings and enjoyed doing many outdoor activities. She was a hunter and often attended sweat lodges and ceremonies.
Wake service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel with her grandmother Vivian Brass officiating. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., also at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel with Father Stan Fontaine officiating. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kevin McKay, Darius McKay, Daren Quill McKay, Devin McKay, Lloyd Houle and Fred Brass.
