It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Marius Daniel Carriere. He is now in the loving arms of his beloved Jeannette, whom he missed dearly everyday since her passing in 2022.
A Chevy guy through and through (Right Ernie?), Marius enjoyed driving anywhere and everywhere. He had an excellent work ethic, operating heavy equipment for over sixty years and frequently travelling North throughout his career. All work and no play led Marius to venture out to Dawson City on a special father/daughter trip last summer. This memory will be one that we will cherish forever and never forget. In his retirement years, the highlight of his day was enjoying coffee and catching up with family and friends, often accompanied by his lifelong friend Joe. He also loved spending time with his fur babies, especially his “Little Lady.”
He will be greatly missed by his children Monique (Ernest), Lynn (John), Louise (Louis), Lisa (Duncan), and Danny; his grandchildren John Jr. (Lisa), Daniel (Jamie), Crystal (Christian), Janelle, Jessica, Brendon (Kaytlin), Brody (Destiny), Ariel (Kyle), Vanessa, Bradley (Jenna), honorary grandson Travis; and great-grandchildren, Carter, Athena, and Eliose.
Special thanks to everyone at Riverside Lions Estates for their care and compassion, as well as to Dr. Manon Pelletier and all the staff at HSC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society. Cremation has taken place and internment will occur at a later date.
“We love you and will miss you always.”
