It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Maria Prasher, who left this world on May 22, 2024, at the age of 77.
Maria was born on December 21, 1946, in Amato, Italy, and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1953. She leaves behind her cherished children, Neil (Kelly) and Megan (Scott); and grandchildren, Sahara, Andara, and Bodhi. Maria is also survived by her sister, Luigina (Antonio); her brother Saverio (Andrea); and her niece and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Francesco and Felicia; her husband Dave; and her sister Italia; and brother-in-law Ralffale.
Maria dedicated 47 years of her life working at the Health Sciences Centre as a lab technician. She will always be remembered for her love of baking and gardening, passions that brought joy to her family and friends.
Mum, we love you and will always hold you close to our hearts.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., with Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m., at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue, followed by burial at Waverly Memorial Gardens.
