Obituary of LORRAINE EUNICE WALKER
Lorraine Eunice Walker (Née Esselmont) passed away on June 23, 2024 in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 77 years. She was predeceased by her parents Hector and Eunice, and her brother Bob Esselmont. Lorraine is lovingly remembered by her husband Bruce and his family, sons Curtis and Kent and their wives Devon and Lisa, her four grandchildren, the Esselmonts in Ontario, and so many others who were touched by her kindness, whether as a family member, friend, teacher, or counsellor. Many of Laurie’s enduring friendships were made during her time working at the University of Winnipeg in the Child Studies and Counselling Departments — two careers where her compassion and generosity shined.
Curtis and Kent are forever grateful to their “dear old dad” Bruce for his love and devotion to mom for their 62 years together.
A funeral service will be held on July 14th at 1:00pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or CancerCare Manitoba.
