It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Aunt at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 86, with her family by her side.
Kathy was predeceased by her husband Les Wilde, and her daughter Malisa Wilde.
Kathy leaves to mourn her passing, daughters Patricia (Edwin) Maendel, and Gail (Donald) Whitworth; and son Les Jr. (Karen) Wilde. She also leaves grandchildren, Jacqueleen (Christopher) Kurys, Amanda (Robert) Whitworth, Chad (Robyn) Maendel, Kerri Whitworth, Tyler (Emilee) Wilde, Crystal (Chris) Bell, Drake Wilde, Lily Mohammed; great grandchildren Lily, Sadie, Abbygail, Kyrsten, Noah, Oliver, Reydin, Austin and Madelynn.
Kathy was born in Chester, Nova Scotia and eventually moved to Ontario in the early sixties to marry her husband, Les. They relocated a few times between Ontario, Manitoba, and Alberta and settled for the most part in Winnipeg, where they raised their family.
Kathy was an exemplary mother figure and human being. She embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her family and friends. Kathy always loved family time with her children and grandchildren at family gatherings. She also dedicated many years in caring for children through the foster program, and home daycare.
The family would like to send thanks to the staff at Riverview Health Care for the years of care she received there. They treated her with care, love and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkinsons Canada in the memory of Katherine Wilde.
