It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of our Hero Joseph Steve Domich. Joe was born on October 28, 1945, in Selkirk, Manitoba. He was an incredible husband and father and was loved by everyone he met.
Joe Opened his own business “Joe’s Automotive Air Conditioning” in 1976 and continued to operate it until 2023 when he finally retired at the age of 78. Joe passed away at the Age of 78 at the Health Science Centre, due to complications after several surgeries on his spine due to a fall.
Joe loved what he did and loved even more spending time with his family! His trips to Hawk Junction for Hunting and fishing were definitely one of his highlights! So many memories and amazing friendships were made.
Throughout his years, Joe had a love for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. I don’t believe there was one Ringette game, Hockey game, dance recital, or Christmas concert that he missed; and you could always count on Joe to have the tailgate open during intermissions, and tournaments. Joe was full of love for his family.
Joe was a very hard working, and fun man. He would be known to have you laughing at his incredible stories and jokes and would be the very first to “throw the cap off the bottle” and enjoy a great adventure whether it was camping, taking a road trip, or a short cut, sitting around the table with the friends and family and the family Gizmo. “Jiggy Jiggy high, Jiggy Jiggy low, dig in your pocket and give it to Joe.” Joe always had you laughing, smiling and enjoying life. He was an incredibly helpful man, always the first to be there to offer you help! A true Hero to so many! He will be greatly missed.
Joe leaves behind his devoted wife, Linda of 50 Years; his Daughters Debrae Campbell-Hohenstien (Kevin) and Dianna Bushell (Dan); his grandchildren: Austin, Katie (Kenny), Hayley (Dixon), Wesley, Vanessa; his great-grandchildren: Annabella, Jax, and Keaton; step grandchildren: Crystal, Sarah, Danielle, Denise, Beau and Chole Bushell. Joe also leaves behind his sister Anne Leveque, and brother Gordy (Jackie) Domich, and many many Nieces and Nephews.
Joe is predeceased by his mother and father Mary and Dan Domich, his brothers, Ed Domich (Julie), Stanley Domich (Frances), Peter Domich (Helen), George Domich (Frances), and brothers-in-law Henry Telke, & Larry Leveque.
Joe will be cremated, and a Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday July 13, 2024 at the Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba. (Parking behind funeral home) A light lunch will be served immediately following the service. Scattering of Joe’s ashes will take place at a later date.
We would like to Thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre for all your help with Joe during his time with you.
Never Forgotten
You’ll Never be forgotten
That simply cannot be.
As long as I am living
I’ll carry you with me.
Safely tucked withing my heart
Your light will always shine,
A glowing ember never stilled
Throughout the end of time.
No matter what the future brings
Or what may lie ahead,
I know that you will walk with me,
Along the path I tread.
So rest my angel, be at peace
And let your soul fly free.
One day I’ll join your glorious flight
For all eternity!
