Suddenly on Sunday June 9, 2024, Helmut (Hamz) passed away at home.
Hamz is survived by his wife of 29 years Shelley; daughter Keli (Dylan) and grandson Milo, mother Helene, sister Inge (Herman); brothers, Neil (Sharon), and Frank, and many more family and friends.
He was predeceased by his father Viktor and brothers, Heinz and Oskar.
Hamz was a man that was as unique as his name. Everyone that met him loved him. He was a family man; a wonderful husband to Shelley, cherished his daughter Keli and got to meet and spend time with his new grandson Milo. He loved his dog Lola and his sidekick Nemo.
He could fix, build and create absolutely anything. He was very proud of the house he helped build for his family. Some of his best times were spent sitting on his deck or in the hot tub with Shelley.
Hamz spent many years working in IT and could solve any computer problem. He had a great sense of humour and enjoyed playing acoustic and electric guitar and golfing with his bros.
Hamz had health problems over the last year, but he never stopped trying to get better.
We will miss you and will always love you.

A celebration of life will take place on Thursday, June 27 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden Park Baptist Church, 1825 Inkster Boulevard, Winnipeg.
