Obituary of ELSIE ANNETTE OMIUCKE
Elsie Annette Omiucke
(nee Franz)
October 23, 1936 – November 21, 2023
Passed away peacefully early Tuesday, November 21st. at Concordia Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 87.
She was predeceased by husband William (Bill), parents Carl (Charlie) and Annie Franz, sister Florence, brother Art, and brother-in-laws Adam and Paul.
Elsie is lovingly remembered by her children Darren (Sandy), and Jodi; grandchildren Trevor, Cameron, Cassidy, Kayley, and William.
She also leaves behind her brother Jim (Jean), sister Norma, sister-in-law Bernice, and extended family and friends.
Elsie was raised in Berlo, Manitoba. At 13 she moved to Winnipeg, lived with her sister Florence and went to St. Alphonsas school. Christmas of 1959 she was set up on a blind date with Bill, and in 1962 she married him, and they raised their loving family in Transcona.
Elsie’s door was always open, and coffee was always on. She could often be found in her backyard admiring her gardens and enjoying the outdoors with company. She also loved playing Bingo and Keno at Club Regent, watching sports, and she never missed a Bombers or Jets game.
Special thanks to all our family and friends for their visits and support. We would also like to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital, Urgent Care and staff in N3W.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on:
Tuesday, November 28th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba with Celebrant, Jocelyn Greenwood.
Elsie will be laid to rest at Transcona Cemetery, 5014 Dugald Road, Winnipeg.
