Clifford Sinclair Obituary
Cliff was born October 18, 1980, at 9:05am in the morning at the Women’s Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. At the age of 9months Cliff started walking by holding onto walls and furniture to get around and by age 10 months he was walking on his own. Cliff was known for his cooking and for being a great housekeeper. Cliff was also passionate about art; he loved to draw portraits of his family and drew artful sketches drawing little aliens with muscles. Cliff started Taekwondo at the age of 11 to age 15 along with his sister Rebecca. Cliff held a black belt while his sister Rebecca held a green belt. Master Cho would enter them into competitions throughout Winnipeg, Manitoba, Regina, Saskatchewan, and Edmonton, Alberta. There was a funny incident that occurred at the Edmonton competition with his sister Rebecca. Rebecca was disqualified because she continued to beat up her opponent past the bell ring, she failed to stop. For 12 years Cliff worked at west steel before his addictions took over. The road to sobriety was a challenging and complex journey Cliff endured. Addiction recovery presents its own difficulties and differs depending on the individual and their unique experiences. Cliff tried many times to overcome his addictions. He put himself into treatment and rehab in St. Rose, Manitoba for 2 months and later moved into Pan Am recovery at 88 Arthur Street in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he fell back into his addictions. But he never gave up, he always tried again to detox. After finishing his detox programs in Winnipeg, Manitoba he moved to Lake St. Martin, Manitoba. During his stay in LSM he used to go play pool with Roper (David Beardy). Another great friend Cliff had for moral support and a blessing in disguise was Tania Jarvis. She gave him a place to stay in the city and never judged Cliff. Cliff leaves to cherish his memory his beloved mother Pearl Monkman, sisters; Crystal Ross (Jason), Rebecca Sinclair (Randy), Debrah Sinclair, and Christina SInclair. Nieces; Dakota Packo, Alexis Ross, Summer Ross, and Paige Ross nephews; Ryan Ross and Jason Ross Jr. and cousin too numerous to mention. Cliff also leaves to mourn the memory of his aunties; Bertha Sumner, and Karen Paul uncles; Sherman Sinclair, Edward Sinclair (Shirley), Dennis Sinclair (Colleen). Paternal aunties; Lillian Sinclair, Phyllis Stevenson, Francis Hart (Joey) uncles; Randy Sinclair (Katie), Lawson Sinclair, Vernon Sinclair Cliff was predeceased by his stepfather; Reino Martin Monkman, father; Clifford Wayne Sinclair, sister; Diane Sinclair nephews; Waylon, Mason and Simeon Smith, Colton Sinclair Grandparent; Sherman and Christina Sinclair Daniel and Priscilla Sinclair uncles; Allan Sinclair, George Sinclair, Elwood Sinclair, and Robert Sinclair. Wake service will be held on Thursday June 6,2024 from 7 p.m.- 10 p.m. at Eternal Grace Funerals. Service will follow on Friday June 7,2024 at 11 a.m. also at the chapel. Interment Brookside Cemetery.
