Axel Clarence Edge Glen McKay Obituary
Peacefully on December 4, 2024, our baby boy Axel McKay passed away at the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital at the young age of 16 months.
Axel leaves behind his parents Jaime-Leigh and Makacee, his siblings Anthony, Kaylo, Joyce, Makacee Jr., Jax, Pax and twin-sister Axcelle, kookum Maureen McKay and kookum Cathy Munroe-Kakekagumick, along with numerous aunties, uncles and cousins.
He is predeceased by his great-grandparents Allan & Mary-Jane McKay, Abel Fiddler and Samuel & Jenny Meekis, auntie Karla Fiddler, great-uncles Gary Fiddler, Walter Fiddler and Clarence Meekis, great-aunts Josephine Kakepetum, Jean Pauline Yellowhead and Ruth McKay along with his cousin Emmett Meekis.
Handsome boy, you will be missed and never forgotten.
Viewing will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg. One evening wake will be held at Axel’s home in Sandy Lake, Ontario on Saturday, December 7, 2024 and a second evening wake will be held at the Adam Fiddler United Church, Sandy Lake, Ontario on Sunday, December 8, 2024. Funeral service to be held on Monday, December 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Adam Fiddler United Church.
