December 25, 1928 – November 15, 2024
In loving memory of Anne Rempel, who passed away at Concordia Hospital on November 15, 2024, at the age of 95 years.
She was predeceased by husband Jack Rempel, son Fred Rempel, grandson Benjamin Hancock, brother Peter Braun and sister Kay Lehn. Left to cherish her memory are her children Sandra Hancock, James Rempel and David Rempel, and their families including grandchildren Kristin, Andrew, Bryden, Kent and Jessie …and sister Helen.
Anne grew up in Grunthal Manitoba but then moved to Winnipeg, which is home. She gave up a university scholarship to marry Jack Rempel in 1949. They were married for almost 60 years. Family was always Anne’s top priority and “Best Mom Ever” was her job description.
Anne and Jack travelled the globe, but Brereton Lake was their most favorite holiday spot in the world. Blue berry picking, gardening, cooking, baking bread, knitting mitts, walking and enjoying the Brereton Lake sunsets kept Anne busy for over 60 years. In Winnipeg, the daily walk to the park to sit on the bench was a must!
Anne has been slowing down just a bit over the last few years.

Anne’s interment has already taken place. As per Anne’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
