George Kernel of Virden, Manitoba passed away at Virden Health Centre Friday, August 30, 2024 in his 87th year.
George is survived by his wife of 58 1/2 years, Edna; son, Darcy (Magda); daughter, Racquel (Richard) Cozens; grandchildren, Justine (Damien Praski), Paighton and Morgan Cozens; great grandchildren, Caiden and Rylan; sisters-in-law Marlene Kernel and Joyce (Robert) Ferrari; brother-in-law, Clarence (Alice) Bolig as well as many nieces and nephews. George was the last surviving member of his ten siblings born to Isidore and Rosa Kernel.
The Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Virden, PENDING with Father Norberto Monton officiating. Inurnment will be in Virden Cemetery Columbarium.
Evening Prayer Vigil will be held at Carscadden Funeral Chapel, Virden, PENDING
For those who so desire, memorial tributes may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of your choice in memory of George.
