Florence Grace Westfield peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024, in her home in Oak Lake, Manitoba, embraced by her children and with her faithful companion, Dog-Dog (Ozzy), resting on her chest. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Marie Paul, her siblings Steve, Helen, Velma, Clifford, Dave and Chaut as well as her grandchildren Chantel, Jeff, and Shane. Florence is survived by her daughter Joy (Wayne) Berezowski of Calgary, son Danny (Cindy) Westfield of Tisdale, daughter Valerie (Ray) Predinchuk of Calgary, daughter Jenny (Milton) Fedak of Oak Lake, and daughter Bonnie Westfield (Heath) of Regina. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Florence found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as driving her scooter around Oak Lake and playing cards at the Legion. She especially cherished playing rummy with her beloved family.
A celebration of Florence’s life will take place on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Lake Legion, located at 291 Assiniboine St. The service will be officiated by Tanis Podobni. All who knew and loved Florence are invited to join the family in honouring her memory.
For those who so desire, memorial tributes may be made to Oak Lake Legion in memory of Florence.
