Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Scott Tyson Robertson-Fletcher on Saturday, October 7, 2023.
Scott is survived by his mother Misty Kurbis (Chris), his daughter Ellie, brothers Ashton (Rylee) and Preston, sisters Lexi and Kalyssa, his grandfather Rod Cook, his uncle Shawn Fletcher (Andrea), Aunty Shelby (Colin), special friends Kelly Goodman, Brayden Fitkowski and Shane Morash, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Scott is predeceased by his grandparents Nick and Margaret Robertson, his grandmother Donna Fletcher, and his uncle Sheldon Sigfusson.
Scott played a few years of hockey as a young boy. He could always be found on his dirt bike, or on his bicycle just riding all over the place. He also enjoyed shooting his bow and arrow at archery lessons. Over the years, he enjoyed many visits to Thompson to visit with family. Scott had a love for video gaming and for watching the NBA.
Scott struggled with addiction, mental health and Type 1 diabetes in his later years, and despite these challenges, he maintained his loving nature. No matter what he was going through, you could always see him light up when he was with his brothers and sisters – he adored them. He was especially close with Ashton and they shared a special bond. But perhaps the strongest bond ever was with his Grandma Donna. He was always very special to her, and there is some comfort in knowing that they now are together again.
Family would like to thank Dr. Prematilake for the kindness and compassion he always showed Scott.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 11:00am at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk, MB. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba or Diabetes Canada.
