Randy Chaye Obituary
Randy Michael Chaye
December 17, 1966-July 10, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our fearless father, Randy Michael Chaye, at the young age of 57 on July 10, 2024 at 3:10 p.m.
His memory will be cherished by his daughters Morgan (Travis), Rachel (Rowan); granddaughter Emersyn; and his beloved dog, Bella. Randy was predeceased by his parents Margaret, 2004 and Stanley, 2023.
Randy was born and raised in Lockport, Manitoba on December 17, 1966.
From a young age, he grew a passion for anything that had a motor, but more importantly, a motor that would win a race. Riding snowmobiles wasn’t just a hobby, for him it was so much more. Dad was known for his collection of sleds; both vintage and new. Whether it be a day trip on the trails or the annual snowmobile trip Randy would plan with his family, riding was his life.
In 1997, Randy decided to risk it all and start up his very own business called Rantec Industrial Ltd. The business became a great success with his determination, motivation and hard work. He got to meet a lot of great people throughout his years in the industry. Anyone needing a belt, bearing or motor knew Randy from Rantec was the guy to go to. He was proud of what he built and for all of his accomplishments.
Randy’s two daughters, Morgan and Rachel, were his pride and joy. He loved them both endlessly. Watching his little girls grow up, most recently Randy was able to be with his girls through some big life moments. He was able to witness his daughter Morgan, become a mom to his very first Granddaughter, Emersyn. He also had the honour of walking his daughter Rachel down the aisle on her wedding day. He was loving, caring and would do anything for anyone he loved. His dog Bella “Bing Bing” , who he called his “ Number 1” was his greatest companion. He loved her like no other.
He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family whether it be hanging out in his garage or at the farm, going to the cabin, quadding, rides on the pontoon boat, and truly the list could go on. Randy was always ready for a good old get-together Anytime. Anyplace.
His most treasured place to be was going to his spot at the lake- The Water Fall. Dad would go to his Water Fall in winter by sled and in summer by quad. His favourite thing when people were spending a weekend out at the cabin was to show them his little spot. Beers and bonfires were always a must down there – along with a ring of kolbassa and some good music.
Dad had the loudest and most memorable laugh that always made everyone in a room look and then laugh with him. It was beyond contagious and will forever be missed.
LOVE YOU THREE, Dad.
Randy’s family would like to send a heartfelt THANK YOU to the Doctors and Nursing staff at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre-Surgical Ward and the Cancer Care MB team.
A Celebration of Life for Randy will be held at the Brokenhead River Community Hall on Friday August 16th, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. 320 Veterans Lane Beausejour, MB
