It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of our mother and grandmother, Juelle West, who passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on July 3, 2024.
Juelle is survived by her daughter Kandi (Bruce) and son Jim; grandchildren Sarah, Bradley, and Tanner; sister, brother, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Juelle was born in Selkirk and graduated nursing from Misericordia Hospital in 1956. She supported her community in this role for 44 years at Selkirk General. Her love for antiques drew her to always hunting for special finds that came with many stories. Her yard was always filled with beautiful flowers and echoing laughter from her parties, coining her with the name “Martha Stuart of River Road”.
Our family has great admiration and gratitude for all staff at Red River Place that cared with love and patience for Juelle during her last months. A family celebration will be held at a later date.
